Just jumping back on here to get reacquainted with the SRT community. My name is Brandon and I work out at Travis. I know a couple people from the base running SRTs. I had an SRT4 a few years ago and traded it for an Evo 9. Had the Evo 9 for 3 1/2 years now. Went as far with the Evo as a built motor, built head, every supporting mod on E85 with a 6262 turbo making 620whp 480wtq on a Mustang Dyno. But that car is currently being converted back to a more sane street car that will be in the 400-450whp range on E85. The car will be used as my daily driver family car now that I have a kid on the way. Just couldn't see putting a full roll cage in a car that will be sportin' a baby seat!

Just wanted to come back into the community here and start learning more about the cars now that they have progressed so much and have so much more aftermarket support. When the timing is right, another SRT might be picked up for a track car, but there are a couple other options out there as well depending on when I can afford one, what's available and a few other variables. But the SRT is very high on that list!

On one other small note, this guy ---> is awesome!

:9mm: for downsizing your turbo on your evo.

evo9 fun car, evo10 family car.

edit: i know who u are now...y dont you downsize your cams to something a lil more street friendly to better suit 'your baby'? just because you are 600hp doesnt mean u need a cage man. downgrading to 400hp ..... :hs:

Thanks for the welcomes!

The Evo is going back to the stock 9 turbo with a Forge w/g actuator, ported hotside, ported manifold, aftermarket o2 housing and full 3" w/ test pipe. If I keep the ported head on there, it should go over 400whp no problem on E85. If I swap back out to a non ported head and drop down the cam size, it will probably end up right around 380whp on E85.

I don't mind the power on the street. That's not why it needs a cage. It would need a cage due to the times it is capable of running at the track. The fastest Evo that I know of in NorCal goes 9.90@146 on this same turbo and 590whp. Only thing he has me on is around 100lb of weight and Evo 8 gearing. The car would easily trap 135mph, meaning it would need a cage in it. And I like keeping the AWD for snow adventures or anything like that with the upcoming family!

PumpKing...do I know you or do you just know of me by the car?
